Objectives

  • State the Boy Scout Advancement Plan and its importance to each Scout.
  • List the Four Steps in the Advancement Process and state how each step is accomplished.
  • Compare and contrast the role of both adult and boy leaders in the personal growth of an individual Scout.
  • Define "Scoutmaster Conference".
  • Identify and use basic counseling skills.
  • B.S.A. Planned Protection (Tour Permits, Insurance, 2-Deep Leadership, Commissioner's Service, Drugs: A Deadly Choice and B.S.A. on the Internet).
  • Define the role of the Chartered Organization in Scouting and in the selection of adult leaders.
  • Accept the need for Troop Administrative Procedures to assure boy satisfaction.
  • State the resources available to a Troop from its District, Local Council and National Council.
  • Have fun learning how to build and conduct campfire programs.
  • Understand the B.S.A. outdoor program and how it’s used to achieve the aims of Scouting.
